If you set up your wedding yourselves, how long did it take?

We only have our venue for 8 hours including set up and tear down so i'm wondering how long to allot for set up. Ceremony will be outside so VERY minimal decor. Reception will have 14 tables with centerpieces and garland and 4 tables for food/drink/gifts. We will have about 10 people helping set up and tear down.

I think this also depends on how elaborate your decor is. do you have to set up even all the chairs and tables and table settings too?

Yes we are doing everything. They will have chairs and tables stacked to the side and we will put it all together. centerpieces on some tables will be garland, candles, and lanterns. On others it will be wood slice, a small amount of florals, and a lantern.

Will the venue at least let you leave things there the night before? that would certainly help in cutting down the time.

Nope not at all. We are going to have it all loaded in the cars and arrive on site right at 2 and get started.
