serious dress regret

Veronica, on March 15, 2015 at 1:17 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 21

My wedding is 3 weeks away! I'm having real dress regret.

I mean I love the dress but I have a few issues with it. #1 back fat #2 cleavage.

Idk if the dress can be altered into an ilusion neckline has anyone done that to there wedding dress?.

These photos are of my two options I'm thinking to fix one or both of my problems. And my dress. This is me in the dress 10 months ago. I'm not wearing a push up corset bra in this picture so one of my solutions may be to exchange my push up one for a regular one. And I still had back fat in this picture but since I had so much time I thought I would have been "in shape" by now. Any who I'm going a little cray not knowing what to do.

I'm having the same issue with mine, except I only have a week. Mine is a corset, and if it's tied a little looser at the top, it's not as bad. That "crack" in your back happens when it's just tied too tight, which I discovered at my second fitting yesterday. I'm wearing my hair down, and it's way past that part, so I'll just have it covered most of the time!

That is the tiniest back fat I've ever seen. It doesn't even count in my opinion. Nobody will even notice it. If you are moving around it goes away. I promise. Making big changes at this point will only create unneccesary stress. You look beautiful in your dress!

If the bottom picture is of you..you look GORGEOUS!!! All I see are curves & bawwwdy (body: ). Alot of times we are ridiculously hard on ourselves for no reason, if you are uncomfortable to the point where it will ruin your day then I suppose the illusion neckline is a nice option..but I see no need..you look GREAT!

Girl you look beautiful! Loosen the corset a little bit if you think you have back fat (which you soooo don't!) and I'm sure FH won't mind the cleavage. I personally think you look great, your dress is very "sexy bride" and I kinda wish mine was now.

Breanna is right -- loosen the corset. It appears to be very tight in the pics. See if that makes you feel better.

Leave it! You look gorgeous (and I am not just saying that to be nice!). We ALL over analyze our bodies and what we see most people, if even any, don't see anything we see! As the others ladies advised loosen the corset. I'm sure you are going be have an amazing BAM Smiley smile

I think your corset is definitely too tight and I think that is causing any problems with the back. Your corset should make a v shape not be straight and it looks pretty straight in the picture. If it was a little looser at the top you wouldn't get that crease.

Girl you look Perfect... And In 3 week you can still loose your almost inexistent back fat. It will be cheaper than altering your dress. You really look beautiful!

First of all, beautiful dress! So I had this problem too..and like the girls said loosen it OR I just completely took mine off because mine practically has a built in bra. Now I can actually breathe and it feels sooo much better! Maybe try that Smiley smile

I think you look great, loosen the corset a bit, maybe cut some sugar and carbs. Maybe get a body fat wrap if it still bothers you.

You're just freaking out which is totally normal! The corset doesn't need to be the tightest possible and just don't wear a bra so you can breathe! I'm all about working out for the big day but you also have to love your beautiful curves for what they are! No one will notice as much as you. Give yourself a break Smiley smile

I must admit when you said what your concerns were I laughed. back fat? what back fat?

as for the cleavage, I see no problem.

you look amazing in that dress, I don't think you should have any of the concerns you spoke of Smiley smile if it's not broken, don't fix it, and your dress is not broken! Smiley smile

Learn the 'spread'! My wedding dress consultant showed us this and it actually helps. It will sound odd to describe but here goes: Have someone insert their two pointer fingers into your 'back crack' and spread their fingers apart from each other. Seriously, that combined with loosening the corset a little bit should go the trick!

I had the same issue with mine. At my second to last fitting, we took pictures and I hated my back. I felt like I looked like a can of biscuits out the top of my dress. For the last 4 weeks before the wedding, every time I went to use the restroom I did 25 "push ups" on the counter before washing my hands. Every time. If I remembered, I did some small weight exercises at home with 10 lbs weights. Focusing on my back, shoulders and arms. But I rarely remembered so mainly it was just the push ups on the counter. Just doing that... Made a world of difference. My back looked SO MUCH BETTER in just 3-4 weeks. Try it. Your dress is gorgeous and you look fantastic. But if you're really self conscious... Try the bathroom push ups. Worked like a charm.

    This my back before:

Wow, if that's really you, I don't know what back fat or cleavage you are referring to. You are being way too hard on yourself.
