Serinium men’s ring?

Sarah, on July 19, 2018 at 2:30 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3
Does anyone have experience with Serinium rings? I know a little bit about the material… They call it a “contemporary metal” compared to the traditional precious metals (e.g., gold). It is highly durable and relatively affordable. We are about to pull the trigger on purchasing FH’s ring so I thought I’d ask for input from this fabulous community...hoping that at least a few are able to respond! A photo of his ring should be attached, as well as more info on the material here: https://serinium.com/the-serinium-story/

I just kind of wanted to get an idea of what you thought are pros and/or cons of getting a ring like this. We are very practical people! The ring itself is not resizeable, however, the company offers a replacement program for a reasonable fee.

That doesn't seem any more affordable to me. DH got his first ring with a wooden inlay and white gold for $99. It's a nice looking ring but seems a bit over priced for a men's ring honestly

Its a gorgeous ring. I dont anything about this metal im sorry but id be worried about not being able to resize and even though its affordable for a replacement it would bother me personally to pay for it. Have you checked out etsy? They have a variety of styoes and materials and a lot of great 5 star shops and extremely affordable. I do love this ring though so if you dont mind possibly paying for a different size in the future i say go for it.

    I've never heard of it.

If it's not resizeable due to the hardness of the material, there are considerable safety concerns if your FH works with his hands. Tungsten rings have this issue.

My FH isn't a fan of shiny either. We are looking at Damascus steel rings. The local family-owned jewlery store spoke highly of them instead of trying to upsell us into a more precious metal. They can be very budget friendly and have a visually interesting pattern within the metal itself.
