VIP September 2019

September weddings

on July 28, 2019 at 10:17 PM Posted in Planning 0 9
So where is everyone at with the RSVP process. We sent out our invites June 10th with RSVP deadline of Aug 7th. Then we were giving our guests an additional 5-7 days to respond post deadline. We sent out 75 invites with everyone getting a plus one. So far we have 95 yes, 8 RSVP no, 17 verbally said they were coming (send in your damn rsvp then), and 30 crickets. We were hoping for closer to a 100 actually attending but thinking we will be over that number. How is this going for everyone else?

I sent mine out July 8th with an RSVP date if August 15th. I've had 3 people RSVP yes (one family) and 1 couple RSVP no. I don't get it! I feel like people don't feel obligated to RSVP these days.

I sent mine out beginning of June (destination wedding for everyone but us, so I sent them early) with a deadline of July 15th. We have 36 confirmed, 3 or 4 declines, and others that are saying “well I don’t know, we’ll see” 🤦🏻‍♀️
We had 56 on the guest list originally

I know right???? Both my co workers who are friends say yep I'm coming my reply send your damn RSVP and they laugh and say yeah yeah we will. Then they say I thought we had until August 7th but they just verbally said yes we will be there why not send the RSVP with the postage already paid. Grrrr so frustrating

It's so frustrating! I even went the online RSVP route so people didn't have to go out of their way to RSVP! I just don't get it

We mailed our out in May 1st, and our cut off is August 1st. We won't be hunting anyone down after that since we gave them the longer time period they asked for. So far I'm now waiting on 1 aunt's family and my fiance is waiting on 2 aunt's families and his uncle's family and his parents.

I think this has been the most irritating part of the whole process! We gave 6 weeks to reply and had still only heard from just over half our guests. Ugh! We've spent the last week contacting people just to hear "sorry but we can't make it" or "put me down for 1" or whatever. Just send your damn RSVP! We've agreed that if we are unable the reach people this week and don't get their response card then they are a no. And if they show up they can sit in the parking lot during dinner. Lol

Sent out invites to 85 for family and friends. 250 people total and we only have 55 attending so far.. I feel this. It's so frustrating. I sent them out at the beginning of july and getting married sept 28th.

We sent our invites almost 2 week ago with a RSVP deadline of August 20. We sent out 86 invitations total and have a guest list of 150. So far we've had 20 people confirm that they're coming. Now it's just a waiting game to see if everyone else RSVPs by our deadline!
