They're going to have signs around encouraging masks, but they won't enforce it. Their employees will all have masks on though and Plexi glass at the bar area. They're also not going to stop any mingling or dancing. They can't set up chairs for the ceremony for more than just immediate family which is my only complaint but it's not a deal-breaker. The round tables can still have 8 people but they'll just be spaced further apart in the venue. No amenity baskets in the bathroom, no food displays during cocktail hour everything will be butlered. No table baskets of bread butter dressing etc everything will be individual. We were going to do a wrapped candy bar buffet for the favors but they asked that we pre bag everything up ahead of time. I can live with those restrictions, for my life and situation that's better than postponing. Also no more than 250 people but we're at 150 so we'll be okay and our venue has the capacity to space tables out up to 200.

Those are great restrictions!! I would be super happy with those, at least masks are not required for you and your guests and you are allowed to dance! The chair set up restriction is annoying but maybe your planner or family members can help set up with the additional chairs? Such great news, I 100% would continue on and not even think twice about postponing!

This is the governors phases that shows what options are available at each stage. I live in Pierce County (south of Seattle) and am getting married on 9/5/20. We technically wouldn’t be able to have more than 50 people unless we are in stage 4. But, these may later as time goes on but it’s hard to tell. I work in government and everything is still changing daily.
On his website you can also find what stage your county is at. My venue is indoor and outdoor and hopefully we can invite more than 50 people! That’s what we are debating now.

That link doesn't work for some reason! That's good information to hear from someone who works in government in our state! I'll check on the website, I've tried a couple times but for some reason I can't find it.

Gosh that's hard! Our venue is 100% outdoors, so I'm feeling pretty confident we can at least have 100. It's hard to know what will happen from now until then, because we have 165 people on our guest list! We wonder, do we have to cut the list? Do we keep it?

Hope everything works out for you!

Thank you! I saw this today too. I am a tad confused though... do you know what it means for outdoor weddings?
We are not applying for phase 3, so I’m a tad nervous now! Lol

It seems to me that it would be similar to the rules outlined for outdoor dining? The new state-wide mask rule is also something to keep in mind too.

It might be worth it to reach back out to your venue and see what their plan is for August and September Weddings. Mine had a good idea of what they would do in phase 3. Including no dancing, which was sort of a deal breaker for me.

I called mine yesterday and he had a lot more information than when I talked to him in he beginning of June. Our venue told us that unless we reach phase 4 that there would be a lot of restrictions set in place. We made the decision to postpone and are trying to lock down a date today.
