Beginner September 2020

September Honeymoon (where to go??)

My fiance and I are getting married September 5th, 2020 and are stuck in searching for a honeymoon destination. We wanted to go from the 6th-14th of Sept. to the Dominican Republic to an all inclusive resort as well as Puerto Rico, but I believe that is hurricane season and I dont want to have to cancel the trip. We have looked into Cabo, Mexico but we read on the internet that September is a rainy month. We are very lost and have never traveled to these places before so I'm open to suggestions and your experiences!

Hi, I am from Puerto Rico. Yes It is a rainy month and with high possibility to have a Hurricane. From the Huracan season September is the peak season. So it will be a risk that you have to take.

My travel agent gave us 2 choices - Aruba and Barbados. We went with Barbados because they have a sandals resort. Our honeymoon is October 5-11

Yeah check out the ABC islands but beyond that I wouldn’t go anywhere in the Caribbean during this time.

Definite rainy season and possible hurricanes during that time of year. Your best bet is the deep south caribbean as most of those islands are out of the hurricane path. St. Lucia, Aruba, Barbadoes, Grenada, Bonaire, Curacao, Trinidad and Tobego, St. Vincent, St. John, Martinique or Tortuga. Although I can't vouch for Tortuga or Martinique because I've never been. We are supposed to go back to St.Lucia and visit Martinique for our honeymoon....But I don't know if that will happen. But the rest of those islands... can't go wrong.

We are in August and going to Aruba because it is outside of the hurricane belt!
