I think getting your deposit back might depend on how far out the date is and what the nature of your contract with the HMUA is. Usually I know people lose out on deposits, but it might be worth asking for. Did your trial not turn out that well?

Feeling so far behind. Ran into a financial snaffoo...still no dress...but we have most of the stuff for decor bought already I just have to put it together. We are doing a kind of steampunk type wedding but on the cheaper side. Just hoping everything works itself out.
