September Color Scheme

Nicole, on September 16, 2017 at 8:35 PM Posted in Planning 0 30

Opinions would be greatly appreciated! I am getting married September 21, 2019. It's going to be a beach/nautical wedding. I'm having such a dilemma with what color scheme to chose because a lot of people go with fall colors in September, but since it's a beach/nautical wedding I didn't want fall colors. Ideas please (:

Navy is both nautical and "fall" but really you could just pick whatever floats your boat. I don't think you need to hold yourself to darker colors just cuz its September. I mean if you want to be technical about it summer doesn't even until the 22nd next year.

You could always do a base color of navy

Nautical makes me think of navy or like a cranberry red (not a bright red) with white and silver. I think some accents you use like rope or anchors can set it aside from fall as a nautical theme!

Navy and white. Perhaps add an accent color like red or peach!

Navy and silver are good together. The colors you choose usually reflect your personality and don't have to match the season. I'm getting married next September and my colors are Navy and dove grey. I'm thinking about adding silver into the mix as well. There are color guides out there as well so you can have ideas of what might look good together.

I guess what my problem is that I like all the summer colors like teals, light blues and Pastels, etc. So I feel weird having those colors late in September. But like Jean said the colors usually reflect your personality, so does it even really matter

I have the same wedding date! I'm going with darker colors because it's a barn wedding, but when I was still deciding between beach or barn I wanted a teal and peach for the colors.

I guess by teal I mean more aqua and more "transparent" looks that remind me of sea glass

What about this dusty blue color? I think it would look really pretty with gold or silver. It's still light and beachy and the dusty color makes it "seasonally appropriate" without being as deep as standard fall colors like navy

I like navy and coral Smiley smile or navy and turquoise. Navy and red could be more fall? I like navy and silver too!

I wouldn't worry too much about the season. If you want a nautical beach theme I would google or search pinterest for those terms and wedding and then see what comes up that you like.

Besides, Fall doesn't begin until September 22. I am having an early september wedding and wanted to avoid fall colors as much as possible. I ended up choose Coral, and Sage with pops of yellow! Bright and summery with some green for our garden wedding.

I know When I searched for coral, coral and navy comes up a bit. The navy would tie into the nautical and the coral would be beachy,

I've always loved navy and coral! If we weren't getting married in November I would go for those colors. In fact, part of me still thinks about switching to that color scheme whether our wedding is in late fall or not.

I'm getting married on 9/30 and our colors are navy, gray, and light pinks. I don't care if it's technically fall or not, it's my wedding and I'm having light pinks! It doesn't matter when as long as you like them.

Like some PPs said, I really don't think you have to limit yourself to colors that are 'seasonal' unless that's the look you are going for. Have fun with it and pick colors that you enjoy! Plus side of doing that is there's a better chance you can reuse you decor afterwards in your home since they would be in colors you gravitate towards anyway
