I am right now getting married on my original day October 17, 2020 in NC. I don’t want to change or postpone which may seem sort of selfish but I’m kind of just in a hard place right now on what to do, It is a lot going on.

Our venue for August isn't giving us the option to postpone. 🤷‍♀️ So before you drive yourself crazy trying to decide, I would talk with them and see if it's even an option. Ours told us they're operating as business as ususl.

We are not postponing. Our venue is planning to be fully operational and have there first wedding in about 2 weeks. For us postponing isn't an option, we are ready to be married. If people choose not to come, I honestly don't care anymore. They need to make the decision that is best for them. My FH and I need to make the decision that is best for us; we want to be married. We are anxious to start a family and keep going with our lives.

As long as our Venue holds true, we have no plans of changing our plans. We're planning for 10/10/20 in the Keys. We've been on hold since the world shut down waiting on our venue to send us a contract.

Hi kelsey, that's such great news about your venue re-opening for weddings!! Curious if they said anything about requiring guests/wedding party to wear masks or anything about prohibiting dancing?

Masks they haven't decided yet. For the first few they have said yes they will have wear them, except for pictures. Dancing they are allowing. The dance floor is large.

As of right now we are still going through! I have spoken to vendors and they all agreed that is it is a little early for me to think about postponing. I will say, I still have 3 months, but its in the back of my mind! But at the same time many of my guests are over the moon excited about the wedding. So we will see. At this point, really only time will tell.

I don’t think we are able to postpone until end of summer to decide. We have been planning as usual but I have a backup idea in mind.

I spoke with the venue, they are going by what the governor allows, and really aren’t wanting us to postpone. So hopefully everything is okay by then, my guests are all so excited as well so I pray everything goes forward as originally planned.

Yeah, we are praying hard over here too. I mean, a lot of places are already in the different phases of the opening so again (that doesn't mean it safe necessarily) BUT, Time is on our side here, so at the very least you might be able to have your full guest count.
