September 22 2018 brides and grooms!

Hi!!! I am literally so excited to finally be a year out (today is my 5 1/2 years with FH too). No more referring to my wedding as "oh, it's September 22 of 2018." I can just say September 22. ;-)

We have a cake tasting appointment tomorrow, I'm planning on having that booked before November.

I'm planning on looking into having a gelato cart coming in the evening as a "midnight snack" type thing but I won't book that until after we book our baker for the cake. I'm also planning on purchasing invitations/RSVP's on Black Friday, I've already designed them through Vistaprint.

ETA- are you sending STDs? Not sure when I should send those out, I was thinking maybe January? We're only sending them to family/VIPs

So excited! FH and I have been engaged for almost a year and I'm so incredibly happy to finally be a year away!

We are finalizing stuff with our caterer and about to do engagement pictures!

Not September 22 but the weekend after - I can't wait to hit that 1 year mark!

The remaining things we have left to accomplish:

Cake (reached out to a few vendors, no final decisions/tastings done yet)

Flowers (using sola flowers, trying to decide on a specific vendor!)

Hotel block (have the hotel picked, just need to call them and sort it out!)

Transportation to/from hotel

STD's (engagement pictures are the first week of October, designing the STD's myself!)

Invites (most likely ordering off Etsy)

Sept 15 right here! I can't believe I am under a year! We got engaged may 2016, and I hated saying oh sept 2018 as that was far away! Time has flown by! This is what I have LEFT to do.

On Sept 30 I am going to our venue. Couple weeks ago they called me and invited me to watch a wedding set up so I can get an idea of how people do it! I really love that he is letting me do that as I was unsure how I was going to set up!!

@FSTL we are spending save the dates. We will be sending some in December with Christmas cards and I'll send my side in January. We don't do Christmas cards in my family really. We just did engagement photos this weekend.

I have my dress, veil, accessories, rings, and tons of ideas. Lol.

September 29 here too... So looking forward to the year mark next week!

We still need to do our engagement photos (end of October), meet with the florist, STD's (Will be done after our engagement photos, our photographer makes them as a part of our package), registry, suits, building our music list, looking at stationary, booking the honeymoon (we have to wait until November to see if FH will still have school next fall - he's working towards a new degree), asking bridal party, wedding bands, scheduling hair and makeup trials, DIY signs and decorations

I think that's about all we have left, but I'm sure I'm missing something.

We have the venue, photographer, florist, dj, limo, suits for the groom and groomsmen, honeymoon, church and musicians for the ceremony booked. Really it's favors, save the dates, invitations, my dress, rings, and escort cards left as big items.

I feel so behind looking at everything you all have accomplished!

We have our venue - which includes catering, doc, cake, and "some decor". We have a dj in mind and are almost set on a photographer- just need to put down the deposit to actually book.

My first dress appointment is tomorrow and i am so excited!

Once we get our photographer, we can do our epics and start looking at stds.

My fh and I celebrated our 12 year "friendiversary" a few days ago, and it's exciting to say that in one year we'll be MARRIED!

I'm so excited!
