September 2024 bride

Where are my September 2024 brides at?? My wedding date is set for Friday September 13, 2024 (we love all things spooky). Our venue is a reconstructed barn, this barn has very muted colors; the outside is white with black features, and a gray roof. The terrain is a lot of tan rocks. There is a water feature in the back that we plan on getting married by!

I had always imagined have a more spooky October wedding with a lot of dark colors and a more “til death” vibe to it. But since we picked a date that’s more towards end of summer/beginning of fall, I decided to broaden my horizons and while doing so I completely fell in LOVE with a bright wildflower rustic bohemian theme. I think the colors in contrast to the more muted barn are just going to be so beautiful.
The plan is to just have beautiful colored wildflowers everywhere, and on the tables they will be in amber bottles of different shapes and sizes mixed in with some wheat, I’m thinking the amber bottles and the wheat tie in the fall/rustic aspect as well!
Have any other brides had one vision for their wedding and ended up going the complete opposite way? At first I was worried this theme didn’t fit this time of year, but quickly stopped caring because I love it and it’s very me still and my fiancé is just happy with whatever I chose!September 2024 bride 1

Congratulations on choosing a venue and theme! I have always been a fan of the wildflower/boho themed weddings. We have been to several over the past couple years, and they have all been beautiful! One thing I would suggest… make speaking to a florist one of your first priorities. Wildflowers will be out of season by September, which means they will be much more expensive because they will need to be flown in. You will want to make sure you choose a florist who has access to them, and you will also want to make sure you have allotted enough in your budget for them. Another suggestion would be to check out dried wildflowers. They can be purchased while in season (when they are cheaper) then dried and preserved until your wedding date. The dried florals are still gorgeous, and they tend to have more of an autumn feel to them.

Thank you so much for the ideas! Being that this is our first time planning a wedding, we can use all the help we can get! The dried wildflowers are a great idea for September! Looking at a lot of my Pinterest board ideas, it seems I already prefer the dried flowers without even realizing it! We have a florist in mind already and are meeting with her this week and are hoping to book her if she’s able to access the flowers I need. If not, we have several others lined up to meet with. I appreciate your feedback! I’ve never been to a wildflower wedding before, so this is just all new to me.September 2024 bride 6
