September 2019 Bride check in!

Jennaya, on June 4, 2019 at 8:25 PM Posted in Planning 0 23
Okay!!! you guys im starting to freak out its creeping up on us!! I just ordered the printed envelopes for the invitations, my bachelorette party is next week so im hoping once I get back and I can get the invites sent out. I have my first dress fitting 6/14 my fiancé has his suit with everything he needs! I just reminded all of my bridesmaids to order their dresses, and signs are in the making. I am currently trying to figure out florists. Got a quote for 1200 for just an arch piece and bridal bouquet (thats crazy) so im continuing to look.

It's sneaking up so fast! I am starting to think of the little stuff I need like the chiffon fabric for the arch, etc. I can't order some things like table clothes, plates, until I have a better idea of how many people are coming (I don't want to order 12 table clothes and only end up needing 8)

Where are you guys at!? feeling stressed yet!?

It is coming sooo fast! We need to order our invites asap, but they come addressed and one of our cousins just moved, so I need to get the new address. My bridesmaids are working on ordering their dresses. All of the men need to figure out suits. We need to schedule a meetup with the DJ, florist, and venue to discuss final decisions. We also need to choose which chicken option we want. A couple diys need to be done and we need to finish buying gifts.

Oh my gosh!! So much left too do. To say I’m stressed is an understatement. Still need a florist but only for a bouquet so I’m hoping that’s not too bad. My H&MU person fell through so I’m trying to find someone else. My photobooth person has stopped responding. And I also need to set up final meetings with the dj and venue. Aaannnnd we have yet to get DHs suit. Plus I am DIYing the centerpieces and along with all the other decorations and we haven’t gotten around to that because I’m trying to wait till they put out more fall flowers. You might say I’m behind 😬

I am starting to feel a little better but for a few weeks there I was feeling very overwhelmed. I still need to make our backdrop, buy more curtain lights (like 12 more sets) and more candles, as well as a few more bottles of wine, our liquor and beer, and some material to make curtains to block some stuff. The we have about 90 candlesticks that need painted and about 4 different signs to make. I finally nailed down new hair and makeup stylists after my original girl got pregnant on me and cancelled. We've also been taking dance lessons so we're not boring everyone to tears with the sway and slowly turn in a circle routine people are doing lately. That's been fun though.

September 20th Bride here and right now I'm feeling pretty good about things. I got the wedding party's attire bought/ordered, the MOB & MOG found their dresses. We just had our engagement photos done this past weekend and FH loves working with the photographer as much as I do (she was photographed for my Brother's wedding). Yesterday we finally set a date for the batch party and are finalizing plans for Batchelor party too.
Up next to work on is the center pieces, the bouquets boutonnieres and the mother's corsage. Figure out ceramony music and the ceremony itself and creating the signage.

September 19th here! I keep feeling like I'm forgetting something, we have all vendors had 1st dress fitting, bridesmaid have their dresses. My FW needs to get her attire and her BP needs theirs. I need jewelry, we're ordering invites this weekend. Just have the edible component of the welcome bags but getting that once we get to Hawaii. Still can't help feeling like I'm missing something.

It’s so soon! I have a dress fitting tomorrow, basically my first real one! So excited! FH purchased a tux and we are picking it up tonight after it was tailored. All the BMs have their dresses, I just need to confirm what I want to do with shoes/accessories for them. We have all of our vendors contracted! We had our food tasting and cake tastings already!

    Still left to do:
groomsman/fob attire figured out... hopefully doing that tonight. Finalize the proof for invites, pick songs for dances, and the small decisions like linens, etc!

100 days to go here! I just ordered my shoes today so I can wear them during my dress fitting. There is SOOOO much to do and being summer (busy), seems like not enough time even though I've been planning since September. I basically have all the little stuff left. Getting flowers through sams club, that's the only thing I'm really stressing over. Just don't have it in my budget for a florist!

September bride here. Last night my FH and I went to my grandparents and my aunt was there and all we were doing was TALK ABOUT THE WEDDING! It stressed me out a little because they brought up some points I hadn't really thought about like: How is every one going to walk down the aisle, Whose going to walk first, Church pew decorations, The aisle runner, etc.... Our priest is being VERY strict about what he DOESN'T want us to do. & that's stressing me out even more! We are getting keys to venue the day before the wedding so I asked the owner if we can go decorate tables that night and he said no so I am going to have to get up at 5am day of wedding and go decorate. I didn't hire anyone to do that mostly because I want to be the one to do it. So ALOT of stress starting to come my way!

I’m September 20, and it feels like this past year has flown by. Our invites got delivered the other day and hopefully we can stuff them this weekend. Just gave my sister the guest list for my shower for next month as well. At the end of the month I have my second fitting and cake tasting and next up on the things to book is our transportation from hotel to the venue. So much to do, so little time!

As for your florist issue, check your local grocery store. That’s who we decided to go with and we got 6 bouquets, 12 boutonnières and 3 corsages for under $500.

I am feeling this!!! I can't believe it is only three months away! Less than 100 days left!

I was at my dress fitting yesterday and I asked the other girl there when her wedding is, and she said August 27th. I was like, "Wow!! That's so soon!", and then I realized mine was only 10 days after that!!! We have almost everything ready, just finalizing details. My last hurdle is figuring out what I want to do as centerpieces, but I'm not sure how our table set up will be.

I am feeling SO stressed! I had most of the big details planned out early on, like the vendors and I got my dress pretty early. I kept having nightmares about it being wedding day and I have no vendors so I took care of those way ahead of the curve lol. But I'm stressed now because of the fine details! I still don't know what song my fiance and I will dance to and I have no clue what kind of cake I want, but I do have my baker booked. My dress is being altered now, but I have no clue what earrings I'll wear.

Getting married 9/14/19! I have every contract signed and deposits paid on everything. Sending out our invites in the beginning of July. We really just need to find my FH's attire, dresses and shoes for my 3 stepdaughters, and make centerpieces (his idea - I am so not thrilled about it haha). I have friends doing my hair and makeup but we need to start testing ideas. And I have an appointment for alterations to my dress made for the end of this month. I think I have a handle on things but I don't want to be too confident.

I feel like there's both so much to do and nothing to do at the same time somehow. Most of the planning stuff is done. Main things left are to put in our cake order and to buy all the tableware. The rest is all physical stuff like addressing and mailing the invites, making the bouquets, and stuff like that. Right now it feels like there's still plenty of time for that stuff but I fear the summer is gonna fly by before we know it. Smiley ups

One of FH's aunts always talks to us about wedding stuff when we see her which is nice but it always stresses me out! Cuz she never just asks how it's going she's always like, "Have you done this yet? Have you done that yet? How are you doing this?" and it's just like, ack!

99 days to go here and YES, everything is starting to speed up! It's all that little stuff you mentioned that keeps adding up, too. So happy the end is in sight and we can all finally relax 😁
