Separate song for flower girl/ring bearer?

m, on May 26, 2015 at 9:49 AM Posted in Planning 0 3

I've seen some who do and some who don't - is this something that people do? I have three boys and one girl walking down the aisle, and would like to use a separate song for them, but it doesn't quite "go" with the rest of the music but is ADORABLE, so I'm just not sure.

So would it work/is it recommended or would it be an awkward transition?

Eh.... I think when too many songs are used, it gets choppy. If you are having live instrumentals, it's not so bad, but if you're playing snips of certain recorded songs, it gets annoying to have 5 20-second clips played.

    That's what I'm worried about.

For reference, I was hoping for a bluegrass instrumental cover of Fire & Rain for parents/grandparents, bluegrass instrumental cover of Tupelo Honey for the bridal party, and then for the kids, the amazingly adorable theme song from Disney's Robin Hood (I'll find a clip...)

The kids walk last before me, right?

I thought about it, but then realized that we are only going about 15 steps so it isn't worth it to me. My FG will go down before me to the wedding march. Yes I am using the traditional wedding march at an nontraditional wedding.
