Sensitive eyes and no sunglasses?

C, on September 17, 2020 at 11:31 PM Posted in Planning 0 5

I was wondering what everyone has done about sunny days? I have eyes that are super sensitive to sunlight and water a ton if it's bright out and I'm not wearing sunglasses. Is everyone planning to just not wear sunglasses, or to wear them for part of the reception?? I'm mostly worried about my eyes watering like crazy and me squinting during the ceremony

You could buy tinted contact lenses, though they darken your iris. Or buy fabulously over the top sunglasses a la Audrey Hepburn and just take them off for the ceremony. You could also train your eyes by very gradually introducing light to them. This will help with the tearing, but be careful not to go too far and hurt your eyes. Make an appointment with your eye doctor, they will know how to help you.

Either get a rocking pair of sunglasses or have a shaded arbor to stand under

Can you think about the time of day and which way you'll be facing to plan accordingly?

I'd also keep a pair on-hand at the reception just in case! You'd rather have sunglasses if you need them for a bit than be super uncomfortable!
