Sending Save The Dates for new Date?

Dana, on March 24, 2020 at 11:00 PM Posted in Planning 0 9
Okay, so I am a former May 16th bride turned August 23rd. After everything was officially changed, we emailed/texted our guests as well as put a FB post up.

Is it overkill to mail a physical save/change the date? Zola is doing them for free when your order your invites at the same time (which wouldn’t go out until June...) Also the one we just made is super cute 😂 I mostly just want to make sure everyone gets the memo, I know some don’t check their email often and don’t have FB (mostly FHs distant relatives I’m thinking of whose phone numbers we don’t have on hand)
To send it or not to send it? 🤔

I say send them. If they are free why not? I don’t think it would be overkill. They would have new one to put up.

    Hi Dana!

I too postponed my wedding - from May 30th to July 18th, and found free change the date cards too! I downloaded it and am having them printed at walgreens. They aren't anything super spectacular and they cost me 30 bucks with cute address return labels, and im going to be sending those instead of my actual invites I was getting ready to send out for the wedding. We sent out save the dates months ago and I wanted all of our guests to be aware that they shouldn't be expecting an invitation for our May date anymore.

So I definitely say go for it!

It could be an over-kill, but if it's coming free with the invite then why not? It's not like you're going to be wasting a few extra hundred dollars on it.

I’d say send them simply because they are free 😂

I would wait and just send invitations when it is time. No one knows now how long this will go on, and you're likely to know more 6-8 weeks before the wedding (when it would be time to send invitations).

If it’s free I see no reason why not!

Def not over kill! I think as a guest, I would like the "hard proof" of a date change, especially if I have to take off of work or travel to be part of your day.
