Sending disposable cameras off to get developed

Lallthom, on June 24, 2008 at 3:28 PM Posted in Planning 0 5

I had read somewhere that the disposable camera's used at wedding reception's can be mailed off to get developed and then I can pick which pictures I want to print instead of having to print all of them. Has anyone ever done this? Where did you send them to? Did you like who you used? Any advice or thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated!

I actually bought my cameras from the knot, and prepaid to have them devloped as well, they send me all the material to ship them back to them, you many want to check that site out. Good luck

I know you can have them developed onto CD's instead of having them all printed. I don't know about mailing them off, however I dropped mine off at Safeway. You might get on www.Kodak.com to see if they have any information. I hope your guests got some good shots! Mine turned out pretty dark, but we got a few good ones (good idea not to print them all!)

I use to work in a photo lab. Try to pick the cheapest form you can in developing and printing them. Sadly, they do not turn out wonderful. Too dark or too grainy. Or the guest just waste the film on blank shots.

The way to do this is buying just the cd of the film. Later on you can go to a online site...like Shutterfly.com (most reliable site) and print them off. If you are looking for quality in the turned-out pictures, I would recommend going to a ritz-proex establishment. Much better quality in the print but more expensive.

The options are endless! Best of Luck. Smiley smile

I ordered the cameras from The Knot and joined Shutterfly.com. I used one camera for an experiment. Ordered the mailers to return the cameras to Shutterfly. The e-mailed me when the pictures were ready to be viewed on line. That way I could pick and choose which pictures I wanted to keep. It worked well and was timely. Try Shutterfly.com. They will send you the mailers which usually cost about 3.99. Good luck!
