Send-off Alternatives to Fireworks?

Nicole, on August 11, 2019 at 3:37 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 12
Hello there,

so the venue that we most likely would pick is very strict and has shot down almost any idea that we had for a send-off, so I am looking for inspiration.

My heart was set on lanterns or sparklers and and those were a definite no, but they may allow us to do professionally orchestrated fireworks. It’s just going to be SUPER expensive.

I am looking for any ideas for a send-off that wouldn’t break the budget. I would love sparkle and glitter in some way that doesn’t make a mess. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it's night time/dark when you're leaving fiver optic wands will photograph similarly to sparklers and be much cheaper. It's not as cheap as glow sticks and a little more customizable witu colors

My venue only suggests us to use bubble exits if we wish. I thought that was pretty creative.

You could do glow sticks! My old roommate did that for their send-off, and it was really cute!

We are not doing a send off (just a conga line to bar after) but I am really thinking extra long glow sticks or the really fat ones would be fun.

I wonder if you could do glow in the dark bubbles by using what they have in glow sticks? I know bubbles aren't as ideal during nighttime sendoff. But if the dark is not an issue, I have seen people do biodegradable confetti! It was super fun, drifted for a while (longer pause for photos) and added so much color.

Me too! Can I ask where you are buying yours from? All of the ones I've seen just look really cheap and I want to try to get them as close as possible to the actual designs on the handles.

We are getting them off of amazon. Our photographer will be editing them to look really cool like in this photo.
