Selfie Station or Photo Booth?

FutureMrs.Dyson, on August 4, 2016 at 8:17 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

Hey y'all! So I keep going back and forth, should we do a selfie station with props and a Polaroid camera so guests can stick it in a book? We have a hashtag, so maybe just a selfie station with props and guests post it on social media? O r just a photobooth with an attendant?

I want to do something fun, not too complicated for the guests, and I'm sure I'll need an attendant for either choice or it might get hectic!

Have you went to a wedding or event with either? how as it? I also attached 2 pictures of what I'm thinking about for a selfie station. Which one do you like? Thanks in advance!

Selfie stations are cute! You can also include a couple selfie sticks! But I personally would prefer an actual photo booth with an attendant

I love the photo booth because you can get more people in the pictures

I would do the photo booth. I'm not real into selfies and I'd rather not have a ton of pictures of people with the camera in front of them blocking part of the photo. Plus depending on the space and the lighting in your space a flash may be required which doesn't work well with mirrors...

I'm doing a selfie station. Photo booths are expensive! $600-800. I saw one quote that was for $550, to rent a photo booth, but that was only for two hours. I can go online and buy props and selfie sticks, and I will end up paying less than $100. =)

If you do the selfie station, you should have multiple selfie sticks (at least 2) at the station for group shots!

I'm opting for the photobooth. While they are pricy they come with an attendant, pictures can be printed AND uploaded via social media, and I get to keep a copy of all pictures. They do set up and tear down, so it's worth my piece of mind
