Self conscious

I said yes to the dress and I LOVE my dress! I still have to get the bottom, chest, and sleeves hemmed but the only problem i have is I feel like I look...too chunky for this form fitting dress. I used to have an eating disorder so I have a really hard time with my self image. I’m working on eating better and working out while trying to stay healthy looking. What are your thoughts?
(Attached are photos of me in my dress-sorry about the messy bedroom- and a fur shawl I’ll be wearing)

I honestly think you look gorgeous. I think the proper undergarments would help you feel amazing. I'm not exactly sure what they are called, but there are specific pieces for form fitting dresses to help everything look seamless.

You look beautiful!!! I had a similar issue where I felt "chunky" in the dress that I loved. However, I tried shapewear and it made me feel more comfortable and confident. Even if you decide not the wear any shapewear you still look stunning!

I honestly think you look gorgeous in that dress as is! With the proper shapewear it should hide any "self-conscious" spots you have but regardless you will look amazing on your big day!

I’m in the same boat! I’m getting light shapewear to wear underneath just to feel secure and not jigglySmiley smile

You don’t need to lose weight at all! No video so no way to tell of the jiggle factor 😂 it’s all about comfort to me- just a little bit of support always gives me more confidence Smiley smile

You look fine. But if you’re seeking to loose weight, you have enough time before your wedding.

I think is beautiful! You still have some time to get to look how you desire and you can always wear spandex to help. Regardless you look great!

I know you said you’re wearing shapewear but I think you need thicker shapewear hun, your bellybutton indent is visible. You have a gorgeous figure!! Don’t even worry about that.

Do you have a recommendation for seamless, thick shapewear? I’ve bought 3 different types and all of them have shown my belly button 😩 I just figured that my belly can’t be contained

Hmm maybe upping the level of firmness/control. They’re usually thicker, though it’s been a little hard finding a seamless one. There’s a lot of options here. You probably just need a high waist brief style. You might also benefit going into an undergarments store and asking for advice since you don’t really need the shaping, just coverage.

I think you look awesome! If you want, you could always add shapers underneath the dress, I wore them even though my dress was thick and didn't need them. They just made me feel better. But I don't think you need them!
