Seeking Make-up Product Recommendations

I've heard great things about Kat Von D's eyeliner

Liquid - Nyx epic ink its a felt tip. Sex Kitten Liner. I love it. I have used the Stila. That thing WONT MOVE. Smashbox has a brown gel liner. Pencil wise ive always used nyx or rimmel.


Mascara - All time fav has been smash box and tarte maneater. Depending on looks. Old school- The iconic Pink and green Maybelline Great lash water proof. Too faced water proof better than sex.Covergirl lash blast water proof. Its orange

I’d go to Ulta & ask a rep there.

To keep makeup in place, start with prime and end with setting spray. That is what the pros use to keep it on 24+ hrs.

Ulta reps misled me a number of times to poorly performing products.. I don't understand how, but it's true. Two different stores recommended Stila liquid eyeliner, which ranked among the very worst I have ever tried.

I like Nyx cosmetics but it's strange that Stila did not work for me at all. It was not pigmented enough and smudged more easily than my other go to brand, (Wet and Wild) which is insanely less expensive. I also didn't like the Too Faced mascara, as I found it was very clumpy and came off easily. Funny about individual differences. I will try your other suggestions though. Trying to find the right toolkit, I'm doing my make-up myself!

Make sure your makeup is made for HD photography.

Urban Decay primer is great. Any setting spray will work.

Yeah, I currently use Sephora's Liquid Black Eyeliner and I'm pretty happy with it. It currently outperforms my old stand-by liner but I have my doubts that it will stand up to tears. It still doesn't really have all day wear power.

I absolutely love urban decay's perversion mascara. Doesn't clump and nicely separates lashes. I use the regular version but there is a waterproof version but I've never used that. I've never really found an eyeliner that stays on me unless I use a really thin line. But I liked the stila all day liquid. As for face or eye primer smashbox has given me good results. I'm using nars powermatte liquid lipstick and estee lauder double wear foundation.

Oh I have also used urban decays 24/7 gel pencil eyeliner and really liked it except because of my hooded eyes, it did smudge but I also never set it when I wore it either.

If you use primer and setting spray, it will hold up to tears, sweat, etc and not budge for 24 hrs.
