Seeing the positive in Covid postponement

Chelsea, on May 14, 2020 at 1:02 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 7
For all the brides who have had to postpone I’m so sorry! I know it sucks A LOT, I was supposed to get married on April 11, now we’re not getting married until January 16.

I was definitely devastated for a while, but it’s actually been quite a blessing in disguise. If you’ve had to postpone think of it as getting to enjoy the engagement longer!
We’re also going to be able to save more money and add some extras we couldn’t afford before, and it’s giving me even more time to get in shape for my wedding day! I know it’s hard to deal with the postponement but try to look at the bright side!

Agreed! We’ve had to postpone until November 2021. Although it was a bummer, there are so many positives too! We are saving more money, adding additional things we wanted but didn’t think would work financially with our 1st date, are extending the amount of time we will be staying (destination wedding), and I now have time to lose the weight I wanted to lose (but didn’t the 1st time around haha), get my eyebrows microbladed, get face lasering (for rosacea), and grow my hair out! And like you said, We now get to enjoy being engaged a little longer. Personally, I have always felt being engaged is the most romantic time 💕 we get the title of “fiancé” for such a short amount of time, I am happy to enjoy it a bit longer!! Congratulations on your engagement, and such a positive outlook on such a difficult situation!!

Thank you for this. We postponed our 4/26/2020 date to this September. It’s definitely an up and down rollercoaster of coping.

How was your microblading experience. My brows refuse to grow in the middle and I was thinking of that as an option.
