Secular officiant for elopement in Los Angeles!

Kylie, on December 6, 2021 at 4:59 PM Posted in California Planning 0 5
Hi brides! My fiance and I would like to elope one year to the date prior to our 'big wedding.' Does anyone have any recommendations for a non-denominational/secular officiant?

What area/city are you looking for an officiant in? Check out Facebook groups for local weddings ("[city/area name] weddings" or "[city/area name] brides"), and put a post specifying what you're looking for, budget and wedding date, and you'll likely get recommendations from brides!

You can also look on Yelp to see what officiant companies are in your area Smiley smile You may be able to also browse their IG if they have one and point out any particular officiant that you may want based on the reviews.

Hi Kylie! A lot of the officiants who list themselves here on WeddingWire are secular or happy to do a secular ceremony:

When in doubt? Go the original "non-denominational" route and have a friend get ordained online! You can tailor the words to your ceremony to whatever you want. The legal thing is the agreement (do you? I do) and the signing of the marriage license. Anything else should be tailored to you two as a couple. And friends are GREAT for that!
