second wedding for me first for him do I do father daughter dance?

Tammy, on January 3, 2014 at 10:11 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4

This is my second wedding, my fiances first. I am having my 18 year old twin boys give me away, my dad did this once. This time I feel my sons should do it. I am sure my fiance and his mom will want to do the mother/son dance. Should I do the father/daughter dance? I dont think my dad would want to do it, he has VERY bad knees and trouble walking. And if I dont dance with my dad how can i make him an important part of the wedding? I dont wnat him to feel like he got a tux for this event and for what? So should i just let my fiance and his mom have there dance and not dance with anyone?

SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!!!

Its my second wedding and my FHs second. We are doing both. I for some reason didn't dance with my dad at my first wedding. So this is my chance to make it right.

I was debating on this also. My dad is giving me away and we didn't do a father/daughter dance at my first wedding. However, I don't think I will be doing one because I think my crowd (and me & FH) will get bored quick with the father/daughter dance, the first dance, and a mother/son dance!!

But I do think you should do one (if he wants too) especially if he's required to get a tux

I was going to say have the Father/Daughter dance because this is still a celebration and a time you can share with your Dad - however you did mentioned his physical limitations and you don't want him to be uncomfortable or in pain. Will he be giving a speech at your wedding? Maybe he can meet your sons at the end of the aisle so the three of them could give you away???
