So I don't know if I'm over reacting because people say I shouldn't have a big wedding( I didn't with my first because it was a last minute decision) but I want my day to be special and really want it the way I want it! Am I wrong for feeling that way and what are some things that you did if this...

Second time bride. Big wedding first time. Wouldn't mind just a ceremony and a honeymoon this time around but FH is doing this for the first time and his excitement during the process is contagious. He is doing most of the planning with my daughters (26 and 16) We are all enjoying it. 130 guests, gown, flowers, band, fancy venue and all. Do what you and your FH want, enjoy it all, and dismiss the haters.

I didn't read the comments but screw those people who think you shouldn't have a big wedding. Your wedding should be as big and as awesome as you'd like it to be! Don't let anyone dull your shine girl!

This is my second marriage. I didn't have a wedding the first time. I was so young and rushed into a horrible situation. Now I'm with the man that I believe God intended for me and I want us to have our big day! I don't have a lot of friends or family, so I'm planning something romantic and small...but it will be what I dream of! Do what you want!! Be happy!! Celebrate your love and commitment to each other!!!

Um yeah so... I'm a THIRD time bride. FH lost his wife to cancer in 2014. He wanted a big celebration because he didn't think he would ever find love again. At first I was so hesitant because I was apprehensive about people judging us, but at this point I'm so excited about our wedding & other people's opinions do not matter. Sure we've had a few ask why we aren't going to the courthouse and our reply is "We don't want to".

Don't think of this as a second (or third) wedding. Think of this as an epic celebration to share the love you two have found!
