Second marriage... Invitation Wording

Well .... what's your name right now? that's the one you should use

This is #2 for us also and we are hosting. Here is my invite. I did use my married name but I can't wait to take his last name!

We worded it like

The honor of your presence is requested at the marriage of ...... and ......

Oh, and I legally went back to my maiden name after my divorce, so I used my maiden name, of course.

You should use the name you legally go by now.

You should use your current actual name, since that's how people know you. I struggled with this at first then realized it would cause way more confusion if i used my maiden name.

We used our first names only

I'm using my maiden name even though I haven't went to get my name changed. My family and friends knew me by my maiden name before they knew my married name so I don't see confusion there. I'm more comfortable with doing it that way but its up to you.

Thank you so much! I'm a bit more enlightened. I really wanted to find a good "wedding etiquette" reason to use my maiden, but I will stick with the name everyone knows me by.... so everyone is correct in your own reasoning. Thanks!!!!!!
