Second line/ parade grand entrance

Maybe I am going over the top. I just watched say yes to the dress and the girl had a beautiful New Orleans wedding with the coolest second line! Decked out with umbrellas and everything. It looked amazing. We don't live in New Orleans but for our honeymoon we will be spending a few days in new orleans before going on our cruise. I kinda thought for the wedding party entrance we could do something like a second line or parade type of thing? I just love the huge celebration and having all the people invloved! I think it would really be fun. Any ideas or thoughts? Has anyone ever done this that lived outside of new orleans?

I LOVE this idea! and have participated in several outside of NOLA
1) As you noted, NOLA will only be a stop over for you on way to cruise so be sure to pay proper respect to the certain cultural aspects!
2) Get the right music!
3) Its best with many people so perhaps this happens as your ENTIRE wedding and guest list joins the procession as they exit the venue at the end of the night. If you do it at the beginning, it may be too climactic too quickly.
