Second guessing, again

Friday I bought a dress, I thought I loved it but as soon as I got home I looked at it again and absolutely hated it. Then next day I went back and was able to get a refund for my first dress and then I found another dress. I LOVED it for about a whole 24 hours. Now I’m back to seconding guessing and second guessing it because I was really only trying on one style and now I’m thinking I should have tried on other styles even if it’s not what I had in mind. I really only liked the sheath lace spaghetti strap dresses when I was doing my research online. I tried on a few halter tops and hated them. I think my dress makes me look a few pounds heavier, which I did gain a few in lockdown the last two months and now I’m also thinking it makes my chest look weird and disproportioned. On the other hand, I absolutely LOVE the back of the dress.

Wow it looks great on you in my opinion... I actually tried this one and and I hated it how it looked on me. It did not compliment my body at all...

Oh girl I think this looks amazing on you!!!! At least you have boobs to show hahaha I have nothing which probably makes the dress look weird.
I also think maybe it doesn’t complement my body but I could be totally overthinking it. The stylist helping me was amazing at David’s and she thought it gave me definition to my curves.
I guess I just keep thinking what an A line dress would do for the body.

You look great in that dress, but I agree with other posters who have recommended you try on different styles. 1) It's fun, and 2) you may find something you like that you didn't realize you'd like, or vise versa. For example, I love boho dresses with long illusion lace sleeves but I'm not lithe model with long slender arms and legs - and on me they all looked super matronly and I could barely move my arms! I tried on a strapless ball gown style dress (I hate strapless dresses and am not the princess ball gown type) because I loved the fabric and surprisingly really liked it. It wasn't "me" and I didn't choose it as my dress but I hated it a lot less than I thought I would. Trying on a variety of dresses will make you feel more confident in what you decide on. For me I knew I wasn't going to be the bride that got a super teary emotional "this is the one" reaction. I tried on probably 6 dresses and was getting nervous because I liked all of them somewhat but didn't love any of them and then I finally tried on one and was just like "no, I don't like this one at all" and that was really comforting. Trying on a bunch of dresses made me much more confident in the dress I actually chose in the end. I know if I hadn't tried on all of the others I would probably think the dress I have is good but wouldn't be as sure that it's the one I want to get married in.

I’m doing the exact same thing! I got mine altered and feel like it looks funny on my boobs. I was/am not happy but don’t have a choice. However I am probably overthinking it too

Oh, that dress is beautiful on you!! I think as brides we look at each part of the dress in such detail to either find what we love or hate about it and if we find something we hate about it then we keep looking in that one area over and over again which ends up eating us alive.
I called my stylist back today and told her what was going on through my mind. she has been nothing but helpful and I really trust what she has to say. She said I am most likely overthinking but she wants to meet with me tomorrow and try on a different style dress and go from there. I told her I love the back of my dress but the front is whats bothering me. every dress i like on their site is well over budget which i think tugs at my heart a little.

Maybe ill find out that I really love my dress after all. who knows. such a big and hard decision when you want everything to be perfect.

I went back today. I didn’t make any decisions yet. My stylist told me to sit on it over the weekend! She has been nothing but sweet and helpful.
Tried on about 10 more dresses. But only like 2. I retried on my dress again as well.
We tried on different styles and nothing did anything for my body besides the sheath style and this one A line pictured below. The halter top is nothing I would have ever gone for but I ended up loving it. It comes in two different colors.
