Second dress

Dj Tanner, on April 6, 2021 at 1:47 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 6
I keep going back-and-forth on a second dress!!
I bought one from Lulu’s and I really like it, but it pales in comparison to my actual wedding dress!
I wanted something short and flashy for dancing, but I’m having a hard time deciding! I was also thinking about getting a black sequin dress for dancing… is anyone doing a non-white dress for their second dress?

I plan to do a non-white dress for a backup reception dress. I’m not sure if I will change into it or not, but I want to have the option available just in case I feel like changing out of my ceremony dress. I plan to do a black special occasion dress that I could wear to another event, just in case I decide not to change into it at the reception.

My cousin had a second dress, but she never even ended up changing because she was having so much fun. However, she did use it for a different occasion later down the road. So, if anything just make sure that you can get your wear out of the second dress if you end up changing your mind the actual day of! Smiley smile

Yes! My 2nd outfit is a party outfit. My veil is an indian scarf so I will wear it w my 2nd outfit & drape it over my clothes. Second dress 1

I will change after the bouquet toss.

    Hey Full House bride 😛:
You're overthinking IMHO! Having a non-white 2nd dress is more common than you think. My big sis wore a purple "backup" dress , so did my FW's cousin (light blue). It's not a big deal!
You already know that the main dress doesn't have to be white and you can even find black wedding dresses, right? So: why would it be any different for a second dress?Plus: your guests won't care at all, they will only think: "how lovely and handsome (insert both names) are" 🙂.

However: I'm not planning to do a second dress and I'm not even doing a "first dress" to be honest!😃😆
