Second dress regrets 1

I don't have any brides in my immediate circle and feel like I need advice. I am getting married in September 2022, in Israel. Fyi- Israeli weddings are huge, and you have to dance the whole night. My first dress for the ceremony is stunning, full on sparkles and beaded, long train, backless - everything I wanted. So for my second look I wanted more of a traditional look, more of a clean look. Went to a sample sale and found this Alexandra Greeco dress and fell in love with how classy it look. It was $150 and it needs dry clean and alterations so I took it to David's Bridal and alterations are around $300. Dry clean where I live is around $250.
Now... i feel like I'm not gonna be comfortable dancing with this dress. It's stretchy and I'm opening a slit on the side so it will be lighter. My problem is that it's soooo tight and I'm planning on eating and getting drunk lol how do I manage a whole night of partying in this dress??I feel like I should've went with something more like this dress:Second dress regrets 2
And it would have been cheaper too 🥴

I completely understand your concerns. I would have a really difficult time moving in that dress also. Could your seamstress change the skirt to give you more room and make it less tight?

I'm hoping that with adding the slit, it will give me more room

I think it's a beautiful dress and you look stunning in it!

I do understand your concerns - eating and drinking in such a tight dress will I always be difficult.

I'd probably just throw on some shapewear and hope for the best - I guess you just have to decide whether the dress makes you feel beautiful enough that it's worth the discomfort.

In my case, I've chosen a giant ballgown with a big hoop skirt underneath. There's no getting around it won't be easy to move around, get in and out of the car in, dance, use the bathroom, and with how tight I've asked it to be altered, breathe, lol.

But... I decided it was worth it to deal with all that for one day, because that's the look I wanted.

Of course, that was my choice, and there's nothing wrong with deciding the opposite - that it isn't worth it, and you're not comfortable with that.

And, if you've yet to spend the money to have it altered and dry cleaned, maybe buy the dress like the sparkly one you posted instead, if you think you'll be more comfortable!
