Seating

Is anyone having an all kids table? Are parents ok with this. Also if there are babies still in a car seat do I still have to set aside a seat for them.

We are going to have a kids table set up with activities but the kids are assigned to sit with their parents during dinner and speeches etc.

They’ll be able to wander over to the table for some fun during open dancing Smiley smile

Unless the kids were all older (like 10+) and cousins, etc., who knew each other and regularly spent time together, I would not recommend putting them together for a meal. As a parent, I would definitely want our children with us so we could supervise them and make sure they were behaving appropriately. A potential extra "play space" table as a pp suggested might be good for after dinner, but I'd officially seat kids with their parents. Check with your venue/caterer about how they want to count infants. Even though they won't be eating, there needs to be a safe, secure space available for each infant/car seat, so they don't become a tripping hazard. Minimally, you'll want to arrange seating so that there is extra space for infant seats. Most infant car seats are not going to sit on a regular banquet chair safely, so you may need highchairs and/or to provide space so parents can bring in their stroller, etc.

We’re going to do a kids table with activities, I’ll get names before hand for the ones the parents are ok with sitting at their own table. And have any highchairs/booster seats in their assigned seats.

If all goes well, I am going to make some personalized goody bags with things for each to entertain them a bit.

I meant the high chairs/boosters would be with the parents! I’m not going to put a bunch of high chairs at a table alone LOL

Hello! We only had 3 kids.. so no table apart for them. I prepared some photo challenges, games, colouring books for them... If they had a separate table, I would have to hire someone..

I wouldn't recommend it if they're super young. ive been to a wedding where the kids were in one table and the parents still hovered around because those kids were not old enough to feed themselves

Being a mom myself an all kids table could be a disaster. Kiddos tend to be loud and hyper around other kiddos. We are going to have a table for activities but the children will sit with parents during the festivities and eating.
