Seating Chart

So, I’m planning on doing something similar to the picture below for my seating chart. I do plan to make it look a little more decorative than the picture, but it’s the basis for what I plan to do. Anyway, I’m trying to figure out if I want to place it on a decorative floor easel at the reception or just place it on a table (close to the front of the entrance for reception) and let it lean against the wall for support. The table will also have a card box and photos of FH and I and other decor. Which idea is better?

I think this may depend on what your venue has to offer. If your venue has an easel on hand, great use it. If not, leaning on the table where it won't be easily knocked over should be fine.

We were facing the same decision not too long ago. When our venue said they had an easel to use free of charge we went with the plan instead.

Thank you! I don’t believe my venue has one for use and I really don’t want to spend money on one, so I’m going to probably go with the second choice. 😄

Right? That’s what I thought when I saw it. It’s so easy to do, too! You just take any frame (this one is 24x36 and the table seating cards are 5x7) and take the back and glass out of it. Then hammer some nails in on the back of the frame and then tie twine around them to make the “clothesline” and voila! Super easy. I’ve seen some beautiful ones done with ornate frames, but those are super expensive. I’m sticking with wood since my style is more rustic.

It’s likely. I’ll ask my bridesmaids. I’m sure one of them might. If not, the table is fine. 😄

You can find some larger, ornate frames at Goodwill too. We are making a kinda backdrop things with frames and got like 9 frames for under $30! I'm going to take the glass and backing out and spray painting them.

My friend used an easel. But if you need space and there's space on a table already there then go for the table
