Seating chart

Stephanie, on December 4, 2019 at 6:00 PM Posted in Style and Décor 2 11
Idk why but I have struggled soooo much with this. I can’t seem to come up with a creative or unique way to display the seating chart/escort cards. Any ideas?

Seating chart 2 This isn’t my photo, but we did something just like this. I would recommend escort cards if you anticipate any last minute changes since seating charts can’t easily be updated.

Def check out Etsy and Pinterest. I’m not a huge fan of escort cards because i feel like most people will just throw them away. But maybe just do a large list like pictures others have posted, or maybe a cute drink or shot (if no kids).

I'm considering doing this for our seating chart with a template from Etsy for the inside of each frame Smiley smileSeating chart 3

If you do choose to do escort cards, something fun you could do with them is make them part of the guests' favors. We're attaching the escort cards to mini bottles of olive oil so it's an escort card/favor combo!

Pinterest is your best friend for stuff like this!!

I was going to have mine all on a wine barrel with a personalized wine bottle with cute lights in it .... poor execution - my place cards didn't fit on it Smiley cry

I don't know why this needs to be cute or unique. Just set up the escort cards on a table close to the front door, in alphabetical order. People pick them up as they walk in and put them at their seat. Then they are thrown away.

If you're doing a seating chart, make it easy to read (swirly fancy fonts are a pain) and list in alphabetical order, not by table number - much faster and easier for people to find what they need.

It doesn’t HAVE to be cute or unique, that’s just how I want it for my wedding.

My point is, it first should be functional: easy for people to find, easy for people to read. If you can make it cute and still fits the function that's great. I've been to lots of weddings where it's honestly a hassle and a bottleneck for people to find names because they were trying to make it cute instead of functional!
