It is for sure a headache. Seat people that are in friend groups or know each other if you can!

Haha easiest thing we found was getting how many people per table your venue recommends. Then we went down the guest list and organized folks. It was still a pain though, and people declining will make you redraw a few times.

If your profile date is correct, I would hold off until all the RSVPs are in. Otherwise, you're going to have to redo it as RSVPs come in. What I did was write every couple down on an index card. I then grouped all of the people together in little piles according to friend group. After that, I started arranging people in groups of 8 (the ideal number I wanted for each table). After I arranged larger groups, I put the people whondidnt fit neatly into categories at tables with people I thought they may get along with. Tables ended up having between 7-9 people because things don't always work out perfectly lol. I then arranged each pile in a way that made sense for the table assignments (closer family and friends closest to our sweetheart table and the like). I'm a visual/tactile person so having the physical cards to move around helped me organize things better.

It’s one reason I used paper rsvp car. Group families together. People who know each other or might have common interest. I have teen nieces and nephews so I most likely would not make them sit with parents but their own table. You generally put family closest to head table.

We have 15 tables, each can hold 10. I'm going to select groups of 10, give them a table number and they can pick their own seat at the table. Boom. Done. Smiley winking

The seating process can be super stressful though, especially if you have a big family, lots of guests, picky friends, drama, etc. I have none of those things, so it was easier.

We've been together 16 yrs. My dad is best friends with his uncle and my aunt married his first cousin last year. Our families are already extremely familiar. They will sit whete they want. They'd go nuts if chose their seats 😂
