Seating chart?

Is anyone not planning on doing a seating chart? I don’t really want to do a seating chart for the ceremony or reception. It’s mostly going to be my family attending and maybe 10 people from my fiancé’s side. Our caterer is doing a buffet style so it doesn’t seem necessary to do a seating chart....

Seating charts generally not used at the ceremony. At the reception, you need one anytime guests are sitting down to eat..so they aren't used for dessert/appetizer receptions. For a buffet, they are definitely needed to prevent couples and families from getting split because one wants to sit with someone particular at an open chair.
If you choose to have free for all seating, you need to rent extra tables and chairs to accommodate.
