Seating Chart for Tuscan-style Tables

WHO? Mrs. Jones, on September 18, 2017 at 11:44 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 2

I was wondering if anyone has advice on a Tuscan-style table seating chart. A little background on the demographics of my guests: we will have 28 guests, including about 3 children. There will be two long tables for seating. H's family consists of three sets of parents - stepfather/his wife, bio father/his SO, bio mother/her SO. Only bio parents on my side, one set of grandparents on both sides, and then we each have several siblings with their SOs attending. My best friend and her SO are the only non-relatives that are attending, everyone else is outlined above.

Any suggestions on how to seat our guests? At this point, since I want all of our parents to be seated with one another - as this might be the only time they will ever be in one place together - it seems that some of our siblings will be seated with them and most of the other table will be completely made up of siblings & their SOs. How do we decide which siblings are to sit at the "Adult table"?

Does the 28 include you and FH? If so, you want to have two tables of 14. If not, one table of 14 and the other of 16.

If you add up you & FH, his six "parents", his grandparents, your parents, and your grandparents, you have 14. Table one done. Everyone else goes on the other table.
