Seating Chart for long tables??? Please help! 1
I originally planned on doing an open seating concept but now I’m worried it might get too complicated. How would you recommend doing a seating chart? The 2 long zigzag tables are what we are using. I’m not sure how to number them. We won’t be having a “head table”. Only a sweetheart table for me and my fiancé.

We’re doing a seating chart for our two long tables (assuming we can still use that layout 🤞🏻) just to make sure families don’t end up split up because people left random seats empty between parties. Something like this.Seating Chart for long tables??? Please help! 2

I’m going to put the seating chart out during the cocktail hour with a sign so people have time to find their name. I’m not too worried since our guest list is only 44 if everyone can make it.

If we have to do smaller tables due to COVID restrictions, I’ll name each table and put names in alphabetical order with table assignment next to them.

You technically still have 12 tables. So you number them 1-12 and assign guests to a table, same way as usual.

I agree with pp you technically still have regular tables you can just number accordingly as if they were round

Number them 1-10 and go from there.

I had a similar set up, but they were just long, not zigzag, with a sweetheart table. I literally placed everyone in a seating chart, made sure they were next to and across from people they knew. It took a while but it was worth it. I had their names on stones as their place cards already at their space. They had a slightly longer cocktail hour to meander in and find their name. I received compliments about the thoughtful seating. Just something to consider. We had a smaller wedding around 60 people

The example Jessica posted would definitely work!

But I also think that numbering each long table will save your guests a lot of time when they're trying to figure out and remember their seating assignment!

Oh I love the zig zag layout! I was thinking of doing king's table (where they do long tables together) with round tables surrounding them. I think I would put 'reserved' on those tables for immediate family members and bridal party. Then do the table 1 and 2 for each row of tables for everyone else.

I would absolutely # the tables.

I love Jessica's idea because it has assigned seats.

You could do just a list with their table #s and then place cards at table where they should sit.
