Seating chart for bridal shower

Av, on October 8, 2018 at 8:22 PM Posted in Planning 0 7
Has anyone put together a seating chart for their bridal shower. We only have about 75 people coming but we have certain people that do not get along and trying to avoid them having to be close to each other. Is that tacky to give assigned seats?

I personally feel like a bridal shower shouldn't have assigned seats.

I've never been to a bridal shower, or any shower for that matter, with assigned seating. I'm sure your guests can be mature enough to get along or avoid each other if necessary.

Only 75??? That's quite large for a bridal shower! With that many guests I would probably do assigned seating.

Do they all know each other? Personally I view showers as more casual so I wouldn't think you need one. If these people dont get along they will probably avoid each other anyway.

Bridal showers should not have assigned seats. Even if people do not get along they should be able to find a seat and behave.

I attended a large bridal shower last year, probably around 60-75 people, and I believe they had assigned tables for everyone. Because I ended up sitting with the MOG and (step)MOG and I don’t think I would have ended up there without being assigned a seat lol. If you want to assign tables to people, go for it! It’s not usually done for bridal showers from what I’ve seen but who cares?

Bridal showers are usually slightly more casual than the actual wedding so a seating chart isn't strictly necessary. If people don't get along then they can probably figure out to just sit away from each other.
If you don't think they can handle that, then you can assign tables, but I don't think you need to go as far as assigning individual seats.
