Seating Chart, do you put families together?

I'm messing around with the seating chart and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to put my parents and FH parents at the same table, or do I put them at tables with their family members? We've done a couple holidays together so they know each other well enough. What is everyone else doing?

My H and I had a sweetheart table. We did that way because we only had one person in our WP (11 SIL), and we could only have 4 tables if 12; my nephew and youngest BIL both have Down syndrome, so they couldn't sit at other tables. We sat our moms, their friends, my moms BF, and my nephew and youngest BIL all together at one table. Then we had a siblings table, and 2 friend tables.

Totally agree with this thought process. To me, the idea of a wedding is for 2 families to become 1 unit of support through the marriage. Both sides of the families to become acquainted with each other. I'm definitely mixing families, friends, colleagues, etc.
