Seating Chart- by table or alphabetical

FutureMrsTurcios, on December 8, 2016 at 4:16 PM Posted in Planning 1 16

I've finalized the seating chart and just have to send it off to print. However, I'm debating on if I should have it printed separated in alphabetical order by last name or by table number. Our DOC already has it both ways and will help with seating but Idk what's the best for the guest to have as a visual

We did alphabetical, and most weddings that I have been to have been set up the same way. Easier to find one's name.

Alphabetical so people can find their name as fast as possible. They have no idea what table they're at, but hopefully they know their names.

We did alphabetical by last name to make it easy for our guests to find their names quickly.

Im doing it by table name, and then each guest's name by alphabetical order. There will be two attendants that will help with seating and they'll be provided with a guest list in alphabetical order.

Alphabetically makes it faster and easier for each guest to find their name, but I always really want to know who else is sitting at my table Smiley smile

    I did by table.

But I only had 4 tables- so- not really difficult.

FMH- you can do Mr and Mrs- or plus guest- or just do them as individuals. one of those "dont' over think it" things.

Alpha, last name. That way people do not have to search each table. It worked out great for everyone at our reception.

Alphabetical. There's always a line-up, with seating charts. I can't tell you how many times we were in the bottom row and I had to read through most of the names, to find us. Thankfully most people we know use escort cards ...

Thanks so much for your feedback. I know we will have 2 people helping with seating but if they are busy I want it to be easy for everyone else to find their name. Now my question is- do you put the names down as Mr. And Mrs. W Turcios or Turcios, W

We did alphabetical. We put each person on there based on their name. SO's that had different last names were both on their, we did only 1 "and guest".

FutureMrsH: everyone gets their own card with their name on it. A couple with one named Smith and one named Moore would be listed under S and M respectively.

ABC! Don't make people search for their names.

FMT - I would write it First Last, and organize the cards alphabetically by last name.

I prefer it by table number so I can see who I'm with right away
