Season Changes

Hannah, on November 13, 2024 at 10:39 AM Posted in Planning 0 5

Open discussion for season preferences: My fiancé and I are not huge fans of the heat, hence why personally, I would exclude spring and summer, but we love fall, considering that we met in October, and I love winter as well, but it's hard to choose considering the weather changes. Would you ladies personally choose fall or winter?

I’d probably just look at venues and see what availability they have for dates in the months you are looking at and use that to make the decision between fall and winter. If you have a lot of out of town guests, winter can be trickier with snowstorms delaying flights, so it may make travel for challenging for those guests. On the other hand, depending on the venue, winter may be considered their “off-season” and be a little cheaper.

I personally prefer fall weddings! The oranges and reds and yellows are absolutely beautiful to me, not to mention the cooler weather. My fiance and I are actually getting married in October, so I may be a little biased.. Smiley winking

We live in NY and were thinking of vendors in PA, but snow can be tricky and unpredictable. We plan on having a small wedding and the travel time for guests would be around 2 and a half hours, but definitely am struggling to decide

The main themes I was thinking for fall was either Rustic, Boho or Chic, Boho

Given this information, I’d lean towards fall since snow is less likely to be a problem versus in winter.
