Have any of you had your dress messed up by the seamstress? I had a very questionable appt today. I bought a back up dress, as I'm very worried....

Yep. It’s at a second place right now. I just got money back from DB today that will cover my 2nd tailor.
I was distraught for 2 weeks straight and at this point I’ll be fine getting married with a potato sack from all the stress

What exactly was weird about the appointment? Is it something you could bring up to her? Maybe ask more questions to understand what she is doing or tell her what you feel uncomfortable with?

I did go back. The dress isn't meant to be hemmed. It just needs cut. I reiterated it. She still looked at me like I was crazy, but I'll see what the dress looks like in 2 weeks

Maybe you could send her an email, get it in writing to make sure you have something you can substantiate your claim with later, if she still messes up.
