Sealing Unity Sand

Brittany, on September 15, 2020 at 3:24 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 6
So we got married and decided to do a unity sand. Has anyone done this and used a sealant afterwards? The container we used doesn't have a lid but we want to preserve it so the sand won't spill out.Sealing Unity Sand 1

I didn’t do a sand ceremony, but I used to make layered jars of sand and seal them with regular candle wax. I never had any issue.

Do you just melt them in a pot and pour it?

To be honest, I generally just lit whatever candle I was going to use and after it burned for a while and melted enough I would pour it in. You could definitely buy wax and melt it in a pot though.

You could use an epoxy resin.

Thank you! That's what my mother in law suggested as well.
