Seal and Send Wedding Invites- What does everyone think?

turn_THE_paige, on June 6, 2014 at 8:29 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 14

Has anyone ever used seal and send wedding invites? My fiancee and I are having an extremely laid back, casual, Vineyard wedding. Seal and sends seem perfect for us (since they are less formal and very nice on our budget!) Does anyone have any experience with these types of invites? Do you think they seem tacky?

HELP PLEASE!! Smiley smile

My sister used them for her wedding. They worked fine.

They're not tacky, just casual so it sounds perfect for you.

I used them for my formal wedding. People loved them (less pieces to keep track of) and we got lots of compliments! I highly recommend them Smiley smile

This sounds just fine! I used basic white envelopes that came free with my Vistaprint items, a forever flag stamp and address labels. I don't think other people's opinions on forms of invitations are that concerning. I figure if people think it's odd, they'll complain to their own friends, so I won't have to hear a word of it.

    Go for it!

They aren't tacky at all! I chose not to go with something like that because I really like the whole bundle of inner and outer envelope, inserts, etc. But Abby is right. Much fewer pieces to keep track of and much easier! Smiley smile

Thanks everyone! That's what I was thinking, too. And I see no point in spending a ton of money on super formal invites when our wedding is no where close to formal.

My friend had them, I thought they were great! Less to lose since it's everything rolled into one. Go for it!

I had to google this as I had never heard of them. Wish I had have known about these when I did my invites. I totally would have used them.

I first saw these after I ordered our invites and I wished I would have known about them before. Of course, I loved how our invites came out, but I think you should go for it.

I'd never heard of them either, so I googled them. They're nice. Definitely not tacky.

My FMIL recently received one and didn't realize everything was one piece and ripped it open… Well, it messed up the invitation, so I am not a fan.

I'm using them and I love them! Less to forget when putting them together and less for guest to keep track of.

When I was looking at seal and sends at the print shop, she advised me against them because people didn't get the RSVPs back in the mail. So be careful when you pick your paper thickness. She was just explaining that when people did seal and sends with really thin paper they would get lost in the mail.
