Seal and Send Invites Input

Darby, on August 8, 2019 at 8:30 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 6

Hi everyone, I'm a professional designer and will be making all my own stationary. I'm going to be making seal and send invitations. I'm looking for input from those of you who have had these or looked into them... what I just don't understand is how you expect the RSVP envelope tucked inside to NOT fall out of the envelope's sides in transit. Do you use those little clear circular pieces of tape on each side? That would kind of ruin the look but I'm not understanding how else to ensure that the RSVP envelope inside of it won't slide out.

I also considered making a pocket inside of the invites to stick the return envelope and RSVP card in.

Just looking for thoughts from those of you who have researched this or had some created for your own weddings. Thanks!

If anyone needs an idea of what these looks like, here's an example: https://www.invitationsbydawn.com/shop/autumn-maple-seal-and-send-invitation/

There is no envelope for the RSVP card. The card is attached to the invitation and torn off at the perforated line. It's sent back to you like a post card, no envelope needed. Postal regulations do say that the sides of the invitation need to be sealed, so the clear stickers are a necessity.

All of the examples I've seen include an envelope, so I didn't think about it this way. I've actually never once seen them designed the way you're describing, but I love it so much more and it makes a lot more sense. Thanks!

The link that you provided doesn't include an envelope. The photo to the right that looks somewhat like an envelope is actually just what the all in one invitation looks like all folded up. Minted uses a similar format, but their photos and examples are easier to see.

I ordered the seal and send invitations too, but from Ann's Bridal. I ended up ordering envelopes to send them in though, just because I wanted to do an invitation wrap. The way mine came from the company, the RSVP card can be mailed back directly like a postcard. It is even pre-addressed to us, so people just have to tear the perforated edge and stick it in the mail.
