Seacrets and Fagers Island for ocmd Bachelorette

Brittany, on May 31, 2018 at 11:34 AM Posted in Maryland Planning 1 18

My bachelorette is in a week and my Maid of Honor and I have been discussing the game plan. We're going to Ocean City Maryland for two nights. we'd like to go to Seacrets one night and Fagers Island the other night. We are aware you can go to Seacrets during the day, but we'd rather go in the evening (around 6pm) since there are other things we'd like to do during the day. One night we'd like to be more dressed up and the other night we'd like to wear our bachelorette tank tops. None of us in the group have been to Ocean City Maryland before so we don't really know which bar we should be more dressed up at and which would be good for the tank tops. Can someone who's been to these places give me an idea of what would be best?

Thanks in advance!

Eh, you don't really need to dress up anywhere in OC. It's not a classy beach. If you wanna dress up, dress up, but you might stand out a little.

That being said, if you go to Seacrets you might wanna wear a suit so I'd probably go tank tops for there.

Good to know. So both of those places would be more of a jeans/jean shorts and a cute top type of place? And to be honest I'm not fond of the idea of wearing a bathing suit to Seacrets because I'm really self-conscious, but everyone I mention Seacrets to mentions bathing suits... is it fine to wear normal clothes there if you don't plan on going in the water?

Sure it's totally fine to wear normal clothes, but a lot of the tables are in the water. Just might limit what you and your girls can do.

I agree with LB. The bars and restaurants around Ocean City have a much more laid back kind of vibe. You would probably be the only ones dressed up at most of the bars in the area. If you did want to get dressed up, I recommend doing so for dinner and keep it casual for the bars. Have fun!!

Seacrets is very casual. I wouldn’t get dressed up to go there. It’s a cool spot though.

Thanks girls that's super helpful! I let everyone know that it's not really a place to dress "clubby"

If you’re going to Seacrets after 6 then don’t wear your bathing suit. The tables in the water are fun but no one goes in there later in the evening, most people leave the water around 4 or 5 to go shower and get ready for the rest of the night.

Neither place will really have people dressed up, but you can still dress up!

Fagers has a bachelorette party thing where if you contact them ahead of time, I think you get drink specials and they’ll give you a scavenger hunt to do there.

Are all of the tables in the water? One of my bridesmaids is insisting on wearing jeans lol. Should I stress to her that jeans isn't a good idea?

Nope. There are some in the water, but the majority are in sand or in a covered indoor/outdoor area. Jeans are fine.

ETA: If you're getting dinner there, you'll have to sit at a non-water table anyway since they don't serve food in the water.

Thank you so much for your advice! I'm thinking bachelorette tanks are good for Seacrets and then just cute but nothing too fancy for Fagers

Secrets is few different bars in one place they have a club side that is indoors where plenty of people dress up for then they have a side that has a stage for bands and is outside sand. There also is the outside part where you can sit and eat, there normally is a wait and a part with tables in the water. So basically outfit depends on the time of day, daytime more chill bathing suits and shorts and nights are dress up it's normally crowded but has lots of places to gets drinks, we always have a good time.

I think Fagers usually lets bachelorette parties in for free. We took my friend there when she was getting married about 2 years ago. We were all wearing our bachelorette tanks and they let us in free.

Awesome! Harborside and De Lazy Lizards were both really good places to eat. Fager's Island was a ton of fun. Seacrets is also a lot of fun, its huge though so it's easy to get separated if you have a large group. Let me know if you have any other questions

I would love some advice also. I am heading to ocmd for my bachelorette party in a month. I am definitely going to wear a bathing suit and either a cover up or tank and shorts, but what did you ladies do at night? and for outfits?

I was told that people don't dress very "club-like" there so at Fagers I wore a black highwasited mini skirt and white floral cropped tank. Then to Seacrets, we went at night so we wore bachelorette tanks that said "Something borrowed something blue we party harder than you" and most of the girls wore shorts or jeans, I wore a denim mini skirt.

I work in OC, definitely do not dress up for Seacrets. Fagers you could do a little more dressed up but not too much. Very laid back and at Seacrets your likely to have a drink or two spilled on you etc. Not worth it.
