Scratchy straps?

Tori, on March 17, 2018 at 11:52 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5
I found the dress. I love the dress but I put it on again after picking it up, and I guess I moved around more at home and the beading on the straps was very scratchy. I am very fair skinned and it was leaving red marks on my skin. Smiley sad I don’t want that in pictures. Is there anyway around this? Like certain moisturizers or anything that can help this?

Depending on the beading you could try clear nail polish on the back. Or try rubbing a candle on them and it should help.

Here is the dress. Forgot to attach a pic. I am also a little concerned that you can see where my belly button is. Is that something they can help with fitting? I can’t wear spanx with this at all, so wondering if they can add a panel inside to thicken the fabric over my tummy so you can’t see the belly button? I don’t know how the alterations work and what all can be done. My friend suggested a nipple cover over by belly button. Lol.

Could you add a little piece of moleskin under the straps?

Maybe the alterations dept could add a very small amount of nude mesh under the straps so they don't rub as much? That will still give the illusion that there's nothing underneath. As for your belly button, maybe you could get one of the "nippies" covers (basically a sticker made for your tatas) in a nude color and put that over your belly button.
