Schedule of events for "destination" wedding

Mallory, on June 5, 2017 at 10:53 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

The wedding is about a two hour drive for most guests, so we suspect a lot will be coming in beforehand. We are going to host an informal gathering to unwind from the drive Friday night and a farewell brunch on Sunday. We do not have a wedding website, so I'm struggling with how to share all this information with my guests. Have any of you done a schedule of events inclusion card? I'd love to see samples, because right now all I've come up with is a lot of information on a wee little card.

I'm planning on getting there early when they check in to the hotel and leaving a goodie basket with schedule of events. Haven't decided on format yet but looking at etsy designs that are customizable and match the wine labels.

We did do kind of like a schedule of events card for our dw. We were married in Florida (we are from Wisconsin). So we put a small packet together with all the info in it (airports, hotel info, rehearsal dinner info, day of the wedding info, beach party the following day and touring the city). Our guests loved the info! It was just enough info for them.

Our guests are staying in rental homes, condos and a hotel. I'm hoping to get the info pushed out to them in advance because of how difficult it might be to do on site.

Wedding websites are free so I highly suggest you make one. Anything printed is going to increase your costs. My small reception cards actually cost a few cents more per piece than my invitation.

We unfortunately cannot have a wedding website Smiley sad Trust me, that'd be the ultimate catch all for us otherwise.

Why can't you have a wedding website?

a friend of mine sent an email bcc'ing everyone with these details about a week before her wedding. it's informal but an option.

I wish I had everyone's email, but at this point it would take more time to collect those. I definitely want to do something printed, so I'm okay with spending extra money for it. I just don't know the best way to present it. I've seen a tri-fold card which is nice and am currently thinking of just an additional 5x7 insert.

You could pay to add an additional card to your invitations, or send out an informal email or an e-vite to one of the events? A free wedding website definitely sounds like it would be the easiest, cheapest, and most flexible option!

@WWLynnie I think that's what we will end up doing is adding a card to the invites. I feel bad sending so many different pieces with the invitation, but hopefully our guests will appreciate the information upfront.
