Scarves for Bridesmaids

Kristina, on June 27, 2019 at 1:55 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9

Really random: My bridesmaids will be in Burgundy/Wine dresses for our October New Jersey wedding. I wanted to get them a scarf/pashmina as a day of gift. Our wedding colors are Burgundy, Blush & Ivory.

Should I get them Ivory or Blush scarves?!?!

Any suggestions/opinions welcomed Smiley smile

(...it's the little things that have this bride stressed...) Smiley xd

Both sound so pretty!! I am doing burgundy/wine dresses as well and have been looking at scarves for a November wedding. What color are your flowers? Maybe the opposite of your most common flower color?

My girls' dresses are steel blue and I got them these from Amazon. They're really nice and very soft.

Ivory would be great if you don't mind them wearing that color!

That said, so they all like and wear scarfs? If not, I would rethink it as a gift. Sorry, I have a strong aversion to scarves - I HATE things around my neck and don't even wear crew neck clothing. That's probably just me.

Also, are you expecting them to wear them for the ceremony and/or pictures? If so, I would rethink this being a gift, as it seems more like a prop. Perhaps something more personalized if you're looking for gift ideas?

I love the idea of a plaid scarf like the poster above me. If it's a gift, I think that's more likely to be used again than a pashmina. Depends on the feel of your wedding though! I know plaid is usually associated with more of a rustic look.. but I was at a wedding in November (that was not rustic at all) and the bride had a fur wrap on and all the girls in nice blush/white/burgundy plaid scarves around their shoulders for outdoor photos. Looked SO good.

Valid point thanks!! However, my girls all love scarves - like a little too much haha a few of them ALWAYS have one on! I am just getting them in case they get cold (got a few of those "always cold" gals lol) and ivory can be used after the wedding (probably going more scarf than pashmina); they aren't going to be required to wear them at any point. This won't be there only gift - I'll be adding something a little more personal in a tote bag for each. Smiley smile

Super sweet then! I think either color works, but ivory would be pretty and a nice contrast to the dresses!!
