Scarring solutions

Hey everyone! I have pretty bad acne scars on my forehead and I am extremely insecure about them and really want them to be gone for my wedding. I’ve seen a few suggestions but they all are close to $1,000. Does anyone have any methods or tricks that are more affordable to help them go away or lessen them at least a bit?

It depends on the type of scarring. If there is any indentation you might need to get professional micro-needling at a dermatologist, or there are different laser treatments. For just discoloration I’ve found that Mederma gel/ cream works really well. A dermatologist could also have a prescription level cream.

I don’t have major scarring, but enough to notice cause I’m one of those unfortunate people to get adult acne.
For my acne I’ve changed my diet by reducing my sugar and dairy intake. I drink tons of water and started taking Dim and evening primrose supplements. I’ve been cleaning my face with Jan marinis benzoyl peroxide during the nights, and in the mornings it’s tea tree oil cleanser. I use witch hazel followed by rosehip oil and spf.
To get rid of the scars I got Enaskin dark skin corrector mornings and nights (I’ve seen crazy results using it on my eye bags) and started doing microdermabrasion facials again every 3-4 weeks.

I'm an independent consultant for Rodan and Fields, and after working with their skincare for over a year, here's my two cents: It definitely depends on the severity/type of scarring that you have but I have two clients with similar skin concerns and is now using the Rodan & Fields Unblemish regimen (for ongoing acne and scars) as well as their AMP MD system and are loving their results! One of the ladies also uses the AMP MD on her chest and back for additional acne issues.

RF has lots of great incentives like a 60-day, empty-jar money back promise and a preferred customer program "PC Perks" that will give you 10% off and free shipping on all future orders Smiley smile

I did microneedling prior to our wedding to help with acne scarring & pitting. It cost $175 per session minimum (I opted for the $300 session that included stem cells). I went 3 times and saw significant improvement. I've heard chemical peels (you can usually do these at local beauty colleges for around $50) & microdermabrasion can help. Then at home: facial scar cream, keeping your face moisturized, salicylic acid (you can buy this in creams, serums, etc. and put on at night), topical retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids, or lactic acids. I'd consult with a dermatologist or a local medical spa (some will do consultations for free) and do research online to determine what's best for your kind of scarring & your skin type & your budget & your timeline.
