Scared to try on dress

T.c, on March 18, 2020 at 9:31 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
Ok. I bought my wedding dress off the floor because the store had no more in my size or bigger. The dress fit, it was just really snug. So, I set out to lose weight. I have worked hard and have dropped 10lbs in 2 months (that’s HUGE for me bc I have a difficult time losing). Now, I’m scared. I need to try on my dress but I’m terrified. I can’t explain it, but I keep putting off trying on the dress. My issue is I need to see if I need to lose more, need alterations, or maintain.
Anyone else dealt with these kinds of fears?

That’s incredible, good job!! You’ve got this 👏🏼The sooner you try it on and figure out what needs to be done the sooner you will not be so stressed.

Yes Your Emotions Are Totally Valid. Weight-loss Especially Before A Wedding Can Be Stressful. But You Should Try Your Dress On As Soon As Possible So You Can Decide If It Needs Any Altering, Waiting Too Long Might Not Be The Best Option.

CONGRATULATIONS! That's great! I would try it on and get it over with. 10 pounds can really make a big difference I bet it is going to fit great!

    Congratulations!!

I am in the same boat: floor dress, weight loss, the whole nine yards.

I tried it on about a month or two ago and it was only slightly less snug that the first time I tried it. I cannot sit in my dress or bend at the waist more than you would lean forward. And I'm stubborn so I am really straying from having it altered because I know I can work to shed the weight. I may have to bite that bullet though and have it taken out if possible...my hips don't lieXD

All in all, the sooner you try it the more time you have to make a decision about which direction to go in and you aren't rushed. Good luck!
